masked

A word was released to me tonight at Elevate out of fear but out of obedience to God. And, somehow, although I didn't say it, I am grateful to the person for releasing it to me. Because, it wasn't just another word. It was the truth. I thought I was able to get away with it without anyone ever knowing. But that wasn't in accordance with God's plan. I guess He figured using one of his messengers to expose the real me would make me realise that it's about time i stop leading a double life.

in need of play

One of the worse things about having to do endless assignments is that when everyone else is playing, you're stuck working on useless interventions for your patient.

:( I want to play cluedo (on dvd!!) with the rest of them too...

heck, I'll even take soccer on ps3 or boring old Scotland Yard.

lol Hi Jeremy! Hi Drew! You guys are sitting next to me trying to see what I'm typing. No, Jeremy, I'm not writing you a love letter. But Thank You guys for doing some major editing on my assignment!

oh, I'll post about camp when i'm free. Camp was Awesome!

missed me?

hehe. i'm back.. for a short while.

it's been pretty hectic around here since i last posted. i really wanna blog about everything that's been happening/going to happen but i've got no time! i seriously think i need 37 hours in a day. got tons of pics to post too but my bandwidth is over the limit for this month so uploading pics are a no no according to the little brother. and i've been missing out on this week's episode of prison break, gossip girl, and one tree hill. speaking of oth, at the end of episode 2, i sat frozen on my bed for 5 whole minutes.. and there were only 3 letters in my head - OMG! lol sorry, digressed. anyhoo, i can't even check facebook oasis properly. hehe did i tell u that i've finally accepted facebook? lol. i know. evil thing. i realised there's never "just 5 minutes on facebook". sad, but true.

oh yes, and i've got sammy boy's virgin trip to aust pics to post. hahah. very surprised but very happy :) and my bday pics with lotsa lovely ppl. and jeremy's 21st toga party and who showed up at the end, esther's bday dinner, yan ying's stolen car plate (hehe funny story), things that have been going on at uni and prac.. there's always so much stuff that i wanna post up but then u find before u have time to post that up, something else happens and then another and another. then u end up with a whole bunch of very late posts..which sometimes i just go..screw it. let's move on. hahah. we'll see how it goes this time.

ooh going back to uni, i scored a 100 on my caa test! wooooooooot!!! lol. okayyy it's actually nth to be too proud of cos they were repeated questions from the first attempt. so i just memorised the answers i got wrong. hahaha. hey it's still legit. and i'm very very proud to say i finished my social inclusion essay that's due in 3 weeks *pats self on back* i'm not a nerd. really. hahah it's just that i have 3 other major assignments due then so i'm better off getting this one out of the way. ohh and at prac last week, we got to do more than just push the residents around in their wheelchair and brush their teeth. how exciting! we got to make them paper hats for the upcoming Melbourne Cup..... -.-'" what do i study again...?

oh well i'll tell u bout yan ying's story since it's a non-picture related post. hehe funny story.. yan ying got to her car in uni only to find one of her car plate got stolen. she was so mad that she put her human bio book on the top of her car (while checking her car plate i presume), and drove off. LOL. just laugh along even if u think it's not funny cos i found it hilarious. hehe.

ohhh i have to tell u bout my newest addiction obsession! (can't use addiction, else i would have had to go for the computer forum thing today - don't try to understand. only fga ppl wud know). anywaysss, i'm overwhelmed by the number of online shopping blogs that's out there. i somehow received the newsfeed thing for one of them online shopping blogs and just clicked on the link out of curiosity. i haven't gone one day without checking them out since. i must admit, some of them i very lala-ish. but there r some pretty nice ones out there. reasonably priced too. i saw a couple that i really really liked but they were sold out and non-restockable. i couldn't sleep on the first night. hahah. then i found the same one on another blog. oh happy day!!! lol. and kudos to muffin for running around to get it for me.

Freedom camp is on this friday till monday!!! (that's when my bandwidth thingy restarts. what perfect timing) can't wait to see what God has in store for us!! :) my biological clock is going to be screwed. haven't woken up at 7.30 am in the longest time. ohh did i mention, for prac, i was 1 of the 4 students that got to attend prac at 4-7.30pm! sweeeeeeeeett! the rest of them had 7-11am shifts. hahah. okayy i think i mentioned that before. nvm.

how's that for a very long post to make up for my temporary hiatus? it's sleepy time. 5 more weeks till the end of uni... i think. i should really check that out. goodnight!

ps: to mummy and daddy, don't worry. i'm not squandering my money away. they'r in safe hands :) miss u! love u!

Flourishing Boobies

"Boobies!"

was what you probably would have remembered most if you were at FGA Women's Flourish event.

need i tell you this is another very late post? hahah.

anyhoo, so we had another Flourish event called 'One size fits all' :) it was actually my first time attending a Flourish event.. and it was

that good.

It was basically a Huge women's gathering, without a single Y chromosome in the room (except for setting up beforehand and cleaning up after :P)

this time we had the owners of Femme de Fe
mme from Subiaco come to give us some very educational, as Jasmine puts it, female support tips ;)

it's so good to be able to be part of sth where us girls/women can just be so open (..the right kind of open, please) to each other, knowing that (and even showing non church goers) that there IS a place where we as women can come to for love and support

some pictures from the day... just some :) after all, there WAS a reason why the doors were shut to all you men.

lol go wash your brains whoever was expecti
ng to see some boobies in this post.

small. big.

little. mini. tiny. vertically challenged. short. petite.

different words. same meaning.

my small size and stature has been brought up a lot this week.

From realising during our practice for phys rehab prac exam that adjusting the chair leg to the shortest possible length wasn't even enough to accomodate for someone of my height, to being prayed over to do 'dynamic things even in this small frame', getting comments like 'hey. u look taller today! oh wait, u'r wearing heels', to being casted as David in the David and Goliath skit because i was the smallest, to being called mini mouse, and not forgetting being called a small girl.

i have absolutely no doubt that all those were said out of love and in the name of good fun. but u know how they say, too much of something can be detrimental to ur health. i guess in some ways, i do feel small after that. no, scratch that. i feel very very small. inside.

but i learnt something. u know how u know that u know something but u just need to say it out to someone before u realise that u knew it all along? might be a bit confusing, but yea. i had one of those moments today.

I was one of the teachers in children's church today and we were teaching the kids the story of David and Goliath. My object lesson was to teach the kids that no matter how small they may be, God can use them in many different ways, just as he used David to beat Goliath. I knew that. I know I knew that. But something about actually teaching it to the kids made me realise that hey, i may be small but size isn't the most important thing. As long as I have God to keep my head up high, I can do anything through Him. My God is big, and because I have Him in me, I am big too.

so yea, i may be small. but i'm big.

Tainted Art.

Hanging on the wall of the gallery was a piece of art. It was a beautiful picture of a bunch of flowers with the most intricate details carefully drawn to perfection. But people just walked pass - some without even glancing at it, some who looked down upon it, some who looked at it with disgust, and even some who hurried by so as to not be associated with it. Because it was. No longer was it picture perfect, but rather tainted. Splattered with paint. Torn. Slashed. Smudged. And ripped.
But one man came. And he bought the tainted piece of art without hesitation. One could not begin to understand how he could have loved something so.. stained. But he did. The man began to paint a replica of the picture.. every inch of it was painted with precision. And even though it was not yet complete, it was undoubtedly going to be as perfect as the last.

God gave me a vision tonight. And for the first time in a long long time, it seemed so real and so clear. It was as if I was in the same room that He was painting. When I first saw the tainted piece of art, it was like looking at my life. My life story painted on a piece of canvas. God painted it beautifully. But I stained it. It's been a rough few months and I found myself distancing from God to a point where it seemed like I was spiritually drained and completely disconnected from Him. And believe you me, it was the worst feeling in the world. I found myself looking for that sense of purpose and worth, that joy that was once there..but no matter how much I wanted to get out of that phase, the past kept coming back to haunt me, I despised myself for being a hypocrite, and the little men in my head would not stop controlling every inch of me. I've been lingering on the past and I kept complaining to God that it was unfair, that He took something so dear away from me. I had nothing but spite in my heart. For them. And sadly, for Him. And so my life canvas was further slashed and ripped. I was ashamed. I would have been a disgrace to all who knew me. And I honestly thought I could not longer be salvaged. But God reminded me tonight, that He was more than willing to pay for my life canvas, bring it back to His workshop, and repaint the picture He once drew. Even as I saw God's hand at work, He assured me that 'Just as I am not done with this painting, my child, you are not done growing'. I have much to learn and so much more to grow, spiritually. I need to reconnect and draw closer to Him. I want to. I need to constantly remind myself that He's holding that paintbrush, not the little men in my head. 'The past was good. But the future will be better. I have plenty more in store for you than what you desire'. God is in control. And He WILL see everything through.

I'm coming back to You.

Funny but true.

I've heard this song so many times, but ever since I found out what the lyrics were I can't help but crack up everytime i listen to the first two lines.. especially when they shout out the second line. LOL. funny but true. Don't think I've ever heard this song being sung in church. hehe. listen to it, if you haven't already.

Believe - Hillsong United

I say on Sunday how much I want revival
But then on Monday, I can’t even find my Bible !!!

Where’s the power
The power of the cross in my life

I’m sick of playing the game of religion
I’m tired of losing my reason for living
Where’s the power
The power of the cross in my life

I’m not content just to walk through my life, giving in
To the lies, Walking in compromises now
We cry out as a generation that was lost
But now is found in the power of the cross

We believe in You
We believe in the power of Your Word that is true
We believe in You
So we lay down our cause
That our cross might be found in You

I’m not satisfied doing it my own way
I’m not satisfied to do church and walk away
I’m not satisfied there’s no love in my life but You
I’m not satisfied living in yesterday’s hour
I’m not satisfied to have the form but not the power
I’m not satisfied, Lord I am crucified in You

So we lay down our cause
That our cross might be found in You

Easter!

i'm known for late posts so here goes my Easter celebration post. Agape had a Cell Easter Outreach that Saturday. BBQ at Point Walter... it's sooooo pretty! i so wanna go back there again and walk on water.. have yet to get pics off Jen cos my cam's in the hands of some evil stranger atm.

Anyhoo, Easter Sunday in church saw ppl getting baptised (Amen!) and lotsa easter egg chocolates wrappers. Then we had an Elvis themed Easter celebration with the folks of Brownlie towers at night. They say u go there and bless ppl, but more often than once, we're the ones being blessed. And i thank God for that- for witnessing ppl receiving Christ for the first time, for ppl coming up to ask for prayers, ppl praying for themselves and for others. [ohh don't mind if i digress but.. here's proof that Jesus answers prayers! Ange lost her phone yest, n so
we prayed. And she found it! Call it a coincidence if u will, but i like to think it was a prayer answered =) ]

hehe back to Easter.. i'll leave you with pictures now. You've heard enough from me for a day =)

Little kids were snapping up Easter eggs and throwing the wrappers on the carpet for poor souls like Elaine to pick them up, similar to Cindy from MDG eating 6 whole egg whites by herself (and throwing away the yolks then telling Hanis to get it from the bin if she wanted it). darn woman kids.

No Greater Love

Before I knew your name
You knew my every breath
Before I found my way
You knew my every step
Before I knew everything that I need
You gave it all to me

No greater love than this
That you should lay down your life
For someone such as me
I'd spend a life time wondering why
The beauty of heaven is here in my heart
And I know there can be
No greater love
Than this

I never understood
How mercifull love could be
Untill I felt His flame
Light every part of me
And I would give everything that I am
Cause I have been saved
Yes I have been saved

No greater love than this
That you should lay down your life
For someone such as me
I spend a life time wondering why
The beauty of heaven is here in my heart
And I know there can be
No greater love

Ooohh...

The beauty of heaven is here in my heart
And I know there can be
No greater love
For someone such as me
No greater love
Than this
