Kuching in a nutshell

i'm back in perth! it's sort of a mix of bittersweet emotions - happy to be back with all these beeyootifull ppl here but at the same time missing the equally beeyootifull ppl back home..and the food..and the gym..and the shopping.

this is gonna be a compact post bout all the people/places/things that makes me love home so much. yea sure, we can hate the countless rapists n snatch thieves, wish heartless kidnappers wud just rot n die, and disagree n despise corrupted leaders, still you cant help but have that weird love for Malaysia...somehow. then again, name one country that's perfect. Zilch.

ok ok enough of my mumble jumbles.. here's a couple things that have been going on and what i miss most bout Kuching!

Family! i miss my grandma. she's the sweetest. she got me this really pretty necklace cos she knew i was coming back. awww =)

Brandon, my baby nephew. This lil bub has a permanent smile engraved on his face =)

Sarawak Club butter prawns! i think it's becoming a tradition to eat this every single time i go back. i'm allergic to prawns... except these. seriously.

Jason BBF!

Che Wee's 19th on Christmas Eve.

Christmas dinner at the other Lee's. Ham, turkey, beef, satay... yummy yum yum

The Spring! Fab new mall. totally beats Boulevard atm (tho i didn't actually go in there. lol cos i heard it was crap and dusty). nth compared to Spring which is oh-so-gorgeous with all the pretty floral n butterfly designs in fav colours =) that's a plus. but we'll see, when the ice skating rink comes about..

Wushu! never missed a visit back to the place where we learnt to kick ass (tried to at least).. with some of the friendliest ppl ever

Lunch with the youth at Chicago 7.

Lodge! yes, we're proud of our school. no, we're not proud by nature. yea never thought i'd be saying this few years back, but i really miss the teachers! and all our spoonfed work

Aunty Su's not-so-surprise-but-still-a-surprise Surprise Birthday party.

Dear YOU (though i highly doubt u read my blog),
Just some general knowledge..it's not really a surprise anymore if u go "Hi Aunty Su! R u going to Aunty Su's birthday tonight?"
-.-'"
yea, not very smart for an 11 yr old =S

oh well, all was not totally ruined cos she only expected the youth and not 60+ of us. we love her! =)

i feel like an ancient woman being forced to become young with these ppl. loves it =)

my last Sunday, a happifying one =)
(angelic orb! lol)

Going Jap at Ten Ichi with the other Lee family

meet my newest baby niece, Carmen. tiny lil adorable thing that only has one pose for the whole 15 mins that i was ogling at her.

did i tell u i love my youth? awesome bunch of ppl who threw me a farewell dinner and a (sitting) ovation when i walked in. highly embarassing but touch-ed nontheless.

and to think i only got to know some of them well over this month and a half. can't wait for more the next round.

Amanda, Rachel, Michelle, Amy, Katrina, Karen

Ian by day. And Ian by night. LOL definitely one of my all time fav pics

Our Titanic moment ;)

Pork! Pork! and more Pork!..oh and 5 slices of chicken, 3 carrots and a measly stalk of vege. Crazy load of meat at Uncle Ho's for my farewell lunch.

Lodgians. I'll miss u guys heaps! thanks for everything =)

A night of slapping, punching and hitting.

Yik Kim's 21st birthday. Perfect way to end my stay in Kch.
